Doubt and Denial on the Twin Flame Journey
No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one may. We ourselves must walk the path. ~Guatama Buddha
The Twin Flame journey is unlike any other romantic connection. It is fraught with challenges, obstacles and triggers. Not only do these challenges lead to a painful separation from our Twin Flame — but the doubt and denial we encounter from trying to explain this mystical journey — often leaves us feeling even more alone.
Twin Flames
As with most spiritual concepts, the Twin Flame phenomenon is not quantifiable in any scientific regard.
As someone who has met their Twin Flame — I can attest to a “felt sense” and deep intuitive knowing that accompanied this profound connection.
However, when I tried to explain what I experienced, I was faced with a lot of resistance and denial to what I knew to be true.
The experience of having a “felt sense” is used by philosopher and psychotherapist, Eugene Gendlin: “A felt sense is not a mental experience but a physical one. A bodily awareness of a situation, a person, or event. An internal aura that encompasses everything you feel and know about the given subject at a given time — encompasses it and communicates it to you all at once rather than detail by detail.”
